Hong Kong Safety Mark & “STC tested” Mark Award Certificate Ceremony and Product Safety Carnival 2011 was held on March 2011 in Park Central, Tseung Kwan O. In addition to the certificates presented by officiating guest Mr. John Hung, Secretary-General (Testing and Certification), Mr. Tom Tang, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Standards & Testing Centre appointed pop singer Alfred Hui to be the Product Safety Ambassador to promote product safety among the public.
In the ceremony, Alfred presented prizes to winners who participated The Hong Kong Safety Mark Bus Advertising Panel Design Competition, sponsored by Buspak Advertising (Hong Kong) Limited, Citybus Limited and New World First Bus Services Limited. The winning design has been adopted as the annual bus advertisement and travelled through different parts of Hong Kong for education and publicity of Hong Kong Safety Mark.
Following last year’s success, the event also includes a 2-day Carnival showcasing products with authorized certificates together with the award presentation and live performance today. Visitors may explore the interactive game booth of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, promoting product safety awareness and knowledge to the public.
